How REP works

REP is reputation you earn by doing real work for real people. It is never bought, and every order behind it can be checked on the Stacks chain.

What REP is

REP points add up across Zero Authority: bounties, quests, events and Work orders. Together with your activity they make up your Onchain Score, a number from 0 to 100 shown next to your name.

On Work, a finished order is what counts. Publishing a listing earns nothing by itself.

What one order is worth

When an order completes, the creator earns up to 40 REP and the client up to 25 REP, multiplied by three factors:

REP = base × value × repeat × counterparty

Value: bigger orders count more, tiny ones count nothing (table below).
Repeat: the same two people working together again earn less each time.
Counterparty: work for an established account counts more than work for a brand-new one.

Why farming does not pay

An order whose escrow was not checked on-chain, or whose token has no price, counts at most ×0.25.

Diminishing per pair

Repeat factor by order number between the same two people

Counted over 180 days, in either direction, so swapping roles does not reset it.

Counterparty-weighted

Your award is scaled by the other side's Onchain Score divided by 50, between ×0.2 and ×1.5, and halved again if they have no X, Discord or Telegram connected.

Only qualified clients count toward levels: accounts at least 14 days old with a connected social account or a BNS name.

Disputes cost REP. Whoever a ruling goes against loses up to 120 REP in proportion, and an order that needed a ruling earns nothing, unless every ruling went fully to the creator.

Reviews

After an order settles, each side can leave one review within 30 days: stars, a short text and a private score. Reviews are double-blind. Neither side sees the other's until both have posted, or 14 days after the first one.

The private score is never shown to anyone. It moves the other person's REP by (score − 3) × 4, from −8 to +8, scaled by the same repeat factor. Only reviews from qualified accounts move REP or levels.

Verifiable on-chain

Every order is a call to the gig escrow contract on Stacks. On each order page the transactions link to the Stacks explorer, and orders whose escrow ZADAO checked against the chain show Verified on Stacks.

Anyone can recount a creator's record from the chain. Browse every order.

Work levels

Levels are earned from verified orders only, and each one needs every condition in its row.

On time means delivered within the promised days after the order was accepted.
