Community GM
Community GM turns the oldest crypto ritual into a daily brief.
In short
When a member says "gm", Nova replies once per 36 hours with a morning brief of ecosystem news and your community's own feeds, matched to your ecosystem. PRO adds custom instructions and web search. Also covers the legacy /gm opt-in.
Community GM turns the oldest crypto ritual into a daily brief. When a member says "gm" in your Discord server or Telegram group, Nova greets the room back with a good-morning message carrying the freshest ecosystem headlines — plus updates from your community's own sources: RSS feeds, watched web pages, and on-chain addresses. One GM per rolling 36-hour window, so it stays a morning moment, never spam.
The greeting fires in whichever channel a member said "gm". Personal DM GM briefs are a separate thing (the /gm command) and are unchanged.

What Lands in the GM
- 🗞️ Fresh ecosystem news — A short, upbeat greeting with the most important headlines of the last 24h — each one a tappable link (buttons on Telegram, embed links on Discord).
- 📡 Your own sources — New items from the RSS feeds you added, "new activity" pings when a watched page changes, and fresh transactions from watched Stacks addresses — only what's new since the last GM.
- 🎯 Custom steering (PRO) — By default Nova auto-detects your ecosystem — leave this empty and mornings stay neutral & on-topic. Fill it to lock the focus for your room — "focus on Ordinals and our collection, hype but factual". Steering only: tone and topics, never a change to what Nova is.
- 🔎 Fresh web search (PRO) — Nova runs one live web search per GM (your query or an automatic one) and grounds the greeting in what it finds — news your feeds might have missed.
Set It Up — just talk to Nova
(Setup is admin-only, in your server/group — not DMs.) @mention Nova or reply to it:
- Turn it on:
- "@Nova turn on the community GM"
- Add your sources (optional, up to 10) — RSS feeds, watched pages, and on-chain addresses:
- "add the RSS feed https://myproject.xyz/feed.xml to the GM"
- Steer it (Community PRO):
- "give the GM custom instructions: focus on Bitcoin L2s and our own drops, keep it playful"
- Ground it in live search (Community PRO):
- "turn on the GM web search"
- Check / turn off:
- "is the GM on?" — settings, sources, and today's web-search budget.
How the Cadence Works
- The first "gm" in a rolling 36h window triggers the brief; every later "gm" is just a greeting Nova may wave back at.
- Every community generates its own greeting, grounded in that room's own recent activity, so the ecosystem always matches — a Solana room never inherits a Bitcoin room's morning. PRO steering and web search layer on top of the same per-community greeting.
- Source updates are always per-community and deduplicated — an article that already appeared in a previous GM won't repeat.
Legacy /gm opt-in
New setups should use the community GM above. For legacy users, the old per-channel /gm still works: when someone says "gm" (or a variant like "good morning"), Nova replies with a short Bitcoin & Ordinals news brief, plus optional per-community custom sources.
- Opt-in per chat — enabled per group on Telegram, per channel on Discord (Nova only replies where you've enabled it). DMs are not supported.
- Admin only — Telegram group admins; Discord requires Manage Server or Administrator.
- Run
/gmto enable, manage custom sources (RSS feed, webpage URL, or Stacks address — 3 Free / 10 Premium per chat or channel), or disable. - Cooldowns: the shared brief regenerates at most every 6 hours, and each chat/channel receives a GM at most once per 36 hours.
To migrate: run /gm and disable it in each legacy chat/channel, then set up the community GM as described above.
